Congolese music icon Fally Ipupa, recognized globally as the Prince of Rumba, is poised to release his eagerly awaited album, ‘XX,’ on April 17 through Warner Music France. This upcoming release marks an impressive two decades of his musical contributions and unique artistry, reflecting the evolution of African music on a global scale.

The album’s priority track, ‘Jam,’ features renowned afrobeats artist Wizkid, alongside the previously hit single ‘Cinéma.’ ‘XX’ encapsulates a diverse array of musical styles, showcasing Fally Ipupa’s artistic growth. The 19-track album boasts collaborations with notable figures, including GRAMMY Award-winner Angélique Kidjo, rising star Joé Dwèt Filé, amapiano innovator DJ Maphorisa, São Toméan duo Calema, and French rapper KeBlack. Backing these artistic collaborations are esteemed producers Trésor Riziki, Dany Synthé, and Seysey, enhancing the album’s polished sonic landscape.

Fally Ipupa’s ‘XX’ fuses contemporary global pop dynamics with traditional elements intrinsic to his Congolese roots.
