KUNMIE drew creative inspiration from a close friend who experienced challenges regarding self-confidence. By utilizing his vocal range and melodic approach, the artist sought to translate the concept of recognizing inherent worth into a musical framework. The production of the track involved a collaborative effort featuring Drilly, The Kazez, and Puffybeatz, resulting in an expansive and soulful sonic environment.
The development of the record was a deliberate process that began prior to the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards last year. Following initial sessions, the song underwent various revisions until an impromptu studio interaction with The Kazez allowed the final arrangement to solidify.
