DEJA DEAD’s latest project, ‘SNAPSHOTS’, is more than just a single—it’s an entry point into a broader artistic vision. Arriving later this month, the song is paired with a unique immersive event scheduled for 23 March 2026 at Glasgow Film Theatre, designed to present the emotional and cinematic world surrounding the music.

The event will feature multiple layers: behind-the-scenes studio moments, live storytelling, and the unveiling of a neon-drenched techno-horror short film. This short, created in tandem with the album, is sonically powered by DEJA DEAD’s own music, allowing attendees to connect with both the song and the story in a visceral way.

Written during a period of deep personal change, ‘SNAPSHOTS’ finds DEJA DEAD examining the fragility of memory and the strength it takes to move forward. In DEJA DEAD’s own words, “To me, SNAPSHOTS is about looking back in order to move forward. It takes hitting rock bottom, going to that place that’s so dark, so lost… until a new image starts coming through— possibly a way out.”

The track is laced with vivid lyricism, such as “Red string forms a timeline / tangled all over my room”, capturing the chaos of reflection, while moments like “You won’t take me back there!” signal emotional resolve. Musically, the use of Scotland’s last cinema organ introduces a rich, cinematic tone, connecting the song to the aesthetic of the upcoming film premiere.

Produced by RICO and written and performed by DEJA DEAD, ‘SNAPSHOTS’ offers a deeply layered experience. With its accompanying live event, the release underscores the artist’s continued exploration of storytelling through multiple mediums.
