Josiah Queen delivers ‘Mt. Zion’ | A soulful sophomore release filled with purpose, passion, and presence

Josiah Queen steps fully into the spotlight with the release of Mt. Zion, his first major label album via Capitol Records/Capitol Christian Music Group. The 22-year-old Tampa native, known for his heartfelt lyrics and spiritual message, offers a collection of songs that explore grace, presence, and vulnerability through a modern worship lens.

Following the success of his independent debut The Prodigal, Queen returns with a powerful project that blends personal reflection with community-driven storytelling. Notably, his single “I’ll Fly Away” featuring Benjamin William Hastings reached the top 5 on iTunes’ Top Songs chart, while “Dusty Bibles” made waves across six Billboard charts and trended on Spotify’s Viral 50 in 18 countries.

The album showcases several standout collaborations, including Brandon Lake on “Can’t Steal My Joy” and Gable Price on “Thief In The Night”. Queen also teamed with producers like Jared Marc, John Michael Howell, and Jacob Sooter to shape the sound of Mt. Zion into something dynamic and deeply personal.

Speaking about the project’s inspiration, Queen shared: “The Old Testament talks about Mount Sinai… There’s also a place called Mt. Zion. Mt. Zion represents a place of God’s presence and glory… a place that we’re all welcomed into.”

The music video for “Watch Your Mouth”, released today, brings visual depth to that message. Directed by Rashun Ludgood and filmed in Zion National Park, the video captures the spirit of the track’s encouragement to step away from shame and into grace. Queen co-wrote the song with his brother Elijah Queen, Jared Marc, and Romeo Barela.

Mt. Zion is more than a follow-up—it’s an invitation into something bigger.
