‘Island Boyz’ by Myke Towers showcases 23 genre-bending tracks that reflect his Caribbean identity.
Myke Towers has released Island Boyz, a personal and genre-defying album that centers his identity as both a Puerto Rican and a globally aware artist. Out now, the 23-track collection offers an immersive experience across styles—reggaetón, dancehall, afrobeats, dembow, and Latin R&B—without ever losing its narrative.
The record kicks off with “La Despedida,” a raw collaboration with DFZM, and proceeds to explore an emotional, cultural, and rhythmic arc. “Expectativas” brings introspective depth, while “Soleao” featuring Quevedo leads the charge on the airwaves as the #1 Latin track on Spanish radio.
Towers moves fluidly across collaborations—“No Hay Break” with Omah Lay and “No Quiere Flores” with Gabito Ballesteros—seamlessly weaving his roots with global sounds. “Surferita” with iZaak adds unique Caribbean energy, combining ska rhythms and Mexican tuba.
The spotlight track, “Tengo Celos,” is accompanied by a visual release directed by Daniel Eguren and creatively led by Vampire Studio. Its visual richness complements the album’s emotional depth.
Says Towers: “I wanted it to sound like where I’m from, but also like what I’m living right now. Island Boyz is the realest thing I’ve done to date.”
