“5G” blends Smashing Pumpkins with modern rage rap in Homixide Gang’s cinematic new single.

Homixide Gang—Meechie and Beno!—have returned with their latest sonic assault, “5G,” built around a fiery sample of Smashing Pumpkins’ classic “Cherub Rock.” The result is a volatile, genre-blending track where alt-rock and trap collide.

The single’s music video pays homage to Fight Club, channeling its unfiltered chaos into visuals that align with Homixide Gang’s gritty sound. In a world often polished and overproduced, the duo leans fully into raw rebellion.

Anticipation is mounting for their next project Homixide Lifestyle 2, the sequel to their 2022 debut mixtape. Shot by renowned photographer Gunner Stahl, the new cover revisits their original concept three years later, echoing their progression in both image and sound.

Recently, fans were treated to early previews of new material during appearances at Rolling Loud California and Chicago’s Summer Smash Festival. The buzz only intensified after the release of “Free Agents,” produced by Pi’erre Bourne and accompanied by a behind-the-scenes tour video.

As “5G” surges across platforms, Homixide Gang continues to define rage rap’s present—and its future.
