King Cruff releases “BUNCH,” a witty, genre-fusing single about loyalty—produced by !llmind & Don Mills.
Canadian hip-hop and reggae artist King Cruff has released his latest track “BUNCH,” via Tuff Gong Collective/Universal Music Canada, turning heads with its unique blend of swagger and sincerity. Produced by GRAMMY-winner !llmind and Don Mills, the track delivers booming bass, skittering percussion, and King Cruff’s quick-witted lyricism.
“I’m very much in my hip-hop bag on ‘BUNCH,’ but I also wanted to bring a sarcastic sense of humour,” Cruff explains. “It’s actually talking about being faithful to your partner… ‘Don’t you know Jamaican men do not cheat’ serves as a reminder that Jamaican men are the original ‘lover mans.’”
“BUNCH” follows WHAT HAVE I ‘DON, his 2024 debut EP that includes cross-genre collaborations with Skip Marley, Stonebwoy, and Jag.Huligin. The project confirmed King Cruff’s place at the crossroads of culture and creativity.
2025 is shaping up to be pivotal. Cruff recently earned a JUNO nomination for “FALLBACK” ft. Runkus and brought standout sets to SXSW, Departure Festival, and NXNE. Upcoming stops include Festival d’été de Québec, Breaking Sound, and opening for The Roots in Victoria.
“BUNCH” is both catchy and layered—an example of King Cruff’s ability to push boundaries while staying grounded in culture, humor, and heart.
