YJL, the internationally acclaimed cellist and composer, is making waves with a bold new artistic direction that fuses classical roots with pop-forward innovation. Based in Seoul, she is introducing a collection of eight original tracks and two music videos, each self-composed using Logic Pro, capturing a genre-defying blend she defines as “cello + K-pop fusion with emotional storytelling.”

With formal training from The Juilliard School and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, both on full scholarships, YJL has garnered recognition for her technical mastery and expressive playing. Publications such as Das Orchester and The Strad have praised her “great ease and sensitivity” and “technical flawlessness and rich sound.”

This new phase marks a transformation in her creative journey. Songs like “New Day,” “Sky,” “Soft Star,” “Jazz On,” “Je T’aime,” and “Vibe” explore themes of personal rebirth and artistic evolution. Each is paired with compelling visuals intended for viral engagement and positioned for international audiences across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

YJL’s sound is grounded in a global perspective. Her experiences living in the U.S., France, Belgium, and Korea, combined with fluency in three languages, contribute to her uniquely multicultural artistry. Now, she’s channeling those influences into music that speaks across borders and genres.

In parallel with her solo work, YJL produced the project “Familiar Classics,” collaborating with creatives across comedy and classical music, including a Netflix comedian and a Forbes-featured pianist. With her charisma and boundary-breaking creativity, YJL is poised to become a compelling voice in today’s evolving musical landscape.
