Wolf Alice announce “The Clearing” for August 29 and a 20-date North American tour.
Wolf Alice return with their most expansive body of work yet: The Clearing, their fourth album, out August 29. To support the release, the band has unveiled dates for a massive global tour, including 20 North American cities beginning September 10 in Atlanta and concluding in Los Angeles.
The new single “Bloom Baby Bloom” leads the way, a guitar-free rock track built around Ellie Rowsell’s commanding vocals. “I wanted a rock song,” she says, “but to be singing a song about being a woman.”
The Colin Solal Cardo-directed music video pairs Rowsell with a troupe of dancers in a Bob Fosse-inspired performance choreographed by Ryan Heffington.
Recorded with Grammy-winning producer Greg Kurstin, The Clearing explores themes of personal growth and emotional resilience, continuing the band’s evolution since their 2015 debut My Love Is Cool and 2022’s BRIT-winning Blue Weekend.
Fans can also catch Wolf Alice at Glastonbury and BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend before the full tour kicks off this fall.
