The War And Treaty’s Plus One offers a masterful fusion of gospel, country, and soul, featuring collaborations with Billy Strings and Miranda Lambert.
Plus One, the latest album from The War And Treaty, is a bold statement from one of the most captivating duos in music today. Released via Mercury Nashville, the 18-track project is a journey through soulful storytelling and heartfelt emotion, blending country, gospel, folk, and blues in a way only Michael and Tanya Trotter can.
The album was recorded at the historic FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and boasts collaborations with Miranda Lambert and Billy Strings, along with top-tier production from Jonathan Singleton, John Shanks, and Jesse Frasure.
One of the album’s defining moments is “Love Like Whiskey,” a touching song co-written with Miranda Lambert, which also arrives with a stunning music video. Other key tracks include “Drink From Me,” featuring Billy Strings, and “Can I Get an Amen,” which The War And Treaty previously performed at the People’s Choice Country Awards.
Following GRAMMY nominations for Best New Artist and Best American Roots Song (“Blank Page”), the duo is making waves with upcoming television appearances, including The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (Feb. 17) and LIVE! with Kelly and Mark (Feb. 19).
Their Plus One Tour begins in March, covering 30+ cities across the U.S. and taking their powerful live performances to some of the country’s most iconic venues.
