TDJ blends indie-pop with trance on “Where Is My Angel” as her self-titled debut LP arrives June 27.
For TDJ, creation isn’t a static process—it moves with her. Written between airport lounges and DJ sets, her upcoming debut album TDJ unfolds in real time. The project is due June 27, and today she offers its emotional nucleus: the single “Where Is My Angel.”
The track pulls listeners into a liminal world, where club beats meet intimate reflections. “I needed to feel some kind of clarity out of this unpredictable life path I was embracing,” TDJ explains. The longing in the lyrics—“I’m drifting through the night / Searching for a sign”—sits atop high-gloss trance production, blending atmosphere with vulnerability.
Each song on the album was fully created by TDJ herself—written, sung, and produced—resulting in a deeply personal sonic diary. Tracks feature genre-defying artists like Danny L Harle, Real Lies, and Hannah Diamond, but always center TDJ’s evolving artistic voice.
Rather than serve as a concept album, TDJ mirrors her reality—driven by instinct, steeped in adrenaline, and bound by no single genre. “I felt the need to slow down and really take the time to work on this one,” she shares, and that intention manifests in slower tempos and melodic breathing space.
With TDJ, the artist offers not just a listening experience, but a document of transformation.
