Breakthrough artist sombr is stepping into the spotlight with his debut album ‘I Barely Know Her’, released today via Warner Records. The project features 10 tracks, including his Billboard Hot 100 successes “back to friends”, “undressed”, and “12 to 12.” These singles have seen remarkable growth, climbing charts across Top 40 Radio, Spotify’s global rankings, and the UK Official Singles Chart. His rise has been historic, topping Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs at #1 faster than any new artist in the past decade.
Produced alongside Tony Berg, whose work includes Phoebe Bridgers and The Replacements, the album puts sombr’s artistry at the forefront. The New York-born, Los Angeles-based musician has been intentional in crafting songs that reflect the raw experiences of youth, romance, and heartbreak.
Sombr’s beginnings trace back to the Lower East Side of Manhattan, where he studied classical music at LaGuardia High School. His early experiments in music eventually led to “Caroline” in 2022, a viral hit that shifted him from local prodigy to international artist.
