In “Parking Lot,” Sofia Camara delivers an unfiltered look at heartbreak and self-reflection.
With her latest single “Parking Lot”, released via 21 Entertainment and Universal Music Canada, Sofia Camara opens up about emotional wounds and the messy process of moving on. The track, which will also be supported internationally by Mercury Records and Polydor Records, dives into the complicated feelings that emerge when love ends without clear closure.
The powerful ballad is produced by Mike Wise, Nathan Ferraro, and Lowell, the same team behind Camara’s earlier successes including “Girls Like You” and “Who Do I Call Now? (Hellbent).” These collaborations continue to shape her signature pop ballad style.
“’Parking Lot’ came from one of those moments where grief and anger blur together,” Camara explains. “It’s messy, it’s real, it’s honest, and I think a lot of people will see a piece of themselves in this song.”
“Girls Like You” became a standout radio hit, reaching #1 on Canada’s Top 40 add list and receiving international airplay on BBC Radio 1 Future Pop. Camara’s return to stripped-down, emotionally rich songwriting in “Parking Lot” reflects a deeper evolution as an artist.
With more than 88 million streams and 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify, Camara is on the rise. This weekend she joins the festival stage at Osheaga in Montréal and Lollapalooza in Chicago, introducing “Parking Lot” to thousands of new listeners.
