SOFI TUKKER take a trip down memory lane with Sleepyhead 2025, their high-energy rework of Passion Pit’s 2009 hit. Out now via Animal Talk Records, this track brings the timeless chorus and signature vocal sample into a new era with sleek, dancefloor-ready production.
For the Grammy-nominated duo, this release is deeply personal. “The original Sleepyhead was a massive part of my life growing up,” Tucker Halpern shares. “When I met Michael Angelakos, we talked about how much things have changed since Manners, and it felt like the right time to bring this track back—with a modern twist.”
Early support has already come from John Summit, who played Sleepyhead 2025 during his Tahoe Experts Only set in February. The track also marks the first major release of the year on SOFI TUKKER’s label, Animal Talk Records. “We started Animal Talk in 2018 and helped launch artists like LP Giobbi. Now, we’re bringing it back, and we couldn’t think of a better way to kick it off,” says Tucker. 
SOFI TUKKER’s 2025 is off to a massive start, with a Las Vegas residency at Wynn Nightlife and festival stops including World Pride and BottleRock Napa Valley.
