“CANNIBALISM!”: SLAYYYTER Returns with Bold, Disruptive New Pop Anthem

The track, impassioned with the high stakes, life or death nature of obsessive yearning, is out everywhere now via RECORDS / Columbia Records. “CANNIBALISM!” is accompanied by an official music video directed by SLAYYYTER, marking her solo directorial debut. 

With “CANNIBALISM!”, SLAYYYTER delivers a feverish club anthem that blurs the line between lust and destruction. Over pounding rhythms and warped guitar distortion, the lyrics descend into the intoxicating grip of obsession and desire. Trading whispers of romance for a do-or-die sense of urgency, the track swings between confident declarations (“Oh it’s on I hear he loves a blonde”) and flashes of vulnerability (“Please God send me a sign”). Capturing the cursed duality of longing and danger, “CANNIBALISM!” cements SLAYYYTER’s reputation as one of pop’s most fearless visionaries. The accompanying music video, directed by SLAYYYTER, opens on a grungy club scene of glamorous showgirls before spiraling into horror with glitter-soaked blood and a looming giant rabbit. Several of the video’s standout looks were designed by SLAYYYTER herself.
