UKG producer Sammy Virji releases his latest single, “I Guess We’re Not The Same,” following a groundbreaking year in dance music.
Sammy Virji, one of the most sought-after names in UK garage, returns with his latest single, “I Guess We’re Not The Same,” out now via Astralwerks. The track, a masterful blend of soulful melodies and pulsating basslines, further cements Virji’s reputation as a key figure in the global garage resurgence.
Following up on his 2024 hit “Damager,” the new release begins with an introspective, airy vocal refrain before evolving into a signature skippy drum groove and deep, resonant bassline. The track has already garnered early support, with Four Tet spinning it during a set on New York’s The Lot Radio.
The release arrives just after Virji’s two sold-out headline performances at O2 Academy Brixton (January 31 and February 1). His momentum continues with the announcement of the first leg of his North American tour.
Last year saw Virji reaching new heights, including performing for 55,000 fans at Chase & Status’ Milton Keynes Bowl event, touring North America and the UK, and playing standout sets at Glastonbury, Parklife, Boomtown, and more. His Boiler Room debut in Denver and collaborations with Interplanetary Criminal, Flowdan, and Chris Lake have only fueled his meteoric rise.
As UKG continues to thrive on the global stage, Sammy Virji stands at the forefront, pushing boundaries with each release. “I Guess We’re Not The Same” is yet another example of his ability to merge emotional depth with infectious club energy.
