Royal & the Serpent Delivers Cinematic Single “Carry Me Home” Ahead of Debut Album

Alt-pop force Royal & the Serpent releases “Carry Me Home,” a dark, emotional glimpse of what’s ahead.

Royal & the Serpent sets the tone for her debut album with “Carry Me Home,” her newest single out now via Atlantic Records. Blending haunting vocals and glitch-laced production, the track balances vulnerability with sonic power in true Royal fashion.

The song’s opening line—“Father, save me from the monsters, hold me like a daughter”—instantly sets an emotionally charged tone. Through a crescendo of warped bass and urgent percussion, the song morphs into a chorus that is equal parts hypnotic and cathartic.

Following the success of “Death Do Us Part”, which Billboard named a “Queer Jam of the Week,” Royal proves once again that she’s mastered the art of emotional storytelling through modern production. mxdwn also praised the track for its “chilling” sound design and evocative vocals.

Her contribution to the Arcane: League of Legends Season 2 soundtrack (“Wasteland”) has accumulated over 80 million streams. The accompanying Game Awards performance alongside Twenty One Pilots and d4vd further cemented her reputation as a dynamic performer.

With more new music on the way and a major summer ahead—including her appearance on the 2025 Vans Warped Tour—Royal & the Serpent continues to stake her claim as one of alt-pop’s most compelling rising voices.
