Robin Cisek shares her new song “Escape,” celebrating supportive relationships, out now with a video.
Award-winning singer-songwriter-producer Robin Cisek unveils “Escape,” a new single offering a heartfelt thank you to the supportive relationships that have helped shape her journey. Out now, the track offers another preview of her upcoming full-length album due later this year.
Produced by Cisek along with Brandon Unis and Brad Simons, “Escape” channels gratitude and emotional honesty. “Sometimes I get really overwhelmed and I’m so thankful for the people that help me get a break and bring me back down to earth,” says Cisek.
The release follows the debut of “Play Dirty,” the album’s first single, a pop anthem with edge that champions the strength of women in the music industry. “I’m so proud that this project allowed me to work with an incredible group of women,” says Cisek, who also produced more than half the album’s tracks.
Accompanying “Escape” is a self-directed visualizer that highlights the vibrancy of Edmonton’s arts community, featuring the work of local artist MAST. “Edmonton is such an artistic city,” says Cisek, reflecting on her creative walks through the city for inspiration.
After her recent performance at No Girl Left Behind, Cisek is set to hit stages in Edmonton and Toronto this summer.
