RIIZE reinterprets TVXQ!’s debut single “Hug,” honoring SM Entertainment’s 30-year legacy. Out now.
RIIZE kicks off 2025 with “Hug,” a heartfelt remake of TVXQ!’s iconic debut single from 2004. This nostalgic track, infused with Y2K aesthetics and RIIZE’s harmonious vocals, is part of SM Entertainment’s 30th anniversary album, a project that celebrates the label’s illustrious history through fresh reinterpretations of its classic hits.
SM Entertainment’s anniversary festivities extend beyond the album. The SMTOWN LIVE 2025 Tour kicks off with two concerts in Seoul on January 11 and 12, before heading to Mexico City, Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo. Fans can expect more surprises as the tour progresses.
RIIZE has quickly established itself as a powerhouse in K-pop. In 2024, their debut album RIIZING earned critical acclaim, with tracks landing on GRAMMY and Billboard’s Best K-pop lists. The group also swept major awards, including Favourite Global Male Performer at the MAMA Awards.
By reimagining “Hug,” RIIZE pays homage to TVXQ!’s legacy while showcasing their own artistry. This release underscores SM Entertainment’s enduring influence in the global music scene and RIIZE’s position as one of the industry’s most promising new acts.
