Speed House meets emotion on “Afterlife,” RayRay & Haus of Panda’s powerful new Dim Mak release.

In their latest single “Afterlife,” RayRay and Haus of Panda offer a poignant reminder that music can be both a personal catharsis and a communal release. Out now on Dim Mak, the track delivers high-impact Speed House energy while exploring the emotional depths of grief, healing, and memory.

RayRay explains the inspiration behind the record: “‘Afterlife’ is a deeply personal track that I originally wrote in memory of my cousin, who passed away from cancer during the COVID-19 pandemic. The grief… was overwhelming, and this song became my way of processing those emotions.”

With lyrics filled with longing, the track could have leaned somber—but instead, RayRay and Haus of Panda took it in an entirely different direction. “I chose to express that pain through the energy of Speed House and Hard Dance,” she says. “The contrast between the emotional core and its fast-paced, euphoric melody represents celebrating life even in the face of loss.”

Haus of Panda also found his own connection to the track. “I was going through hardships in my personal relationship when RayRay sent me the demo… I love how the breakdown carries so much emotion while still maintaining uplifting energy.”

Built on a sharp blend of bouncing rhythms, atmospheric synths, and visceral lyricism, “Afterlife” delivers an experience that’s equal parts energetic and emotional. It’s a bold example of how dance music continues to evolve—infused not only with sound, but with story.
