Ray Vaughn shares ‘CEMETERY lanterns,’ a powerful new single leading up to his debut EP, ‘The Good, The Bad & The Dollar Menu.’
Top Dawg Entertainment’s Ray Vaughn delivers another compelling release with “CEMETERY lanterns,” now available on all streaming platforms. Produced by Rayo (Tyla, kwn) and Kyu Steed (Amaarae), the track sets the tone for his highly anticipated debut EP, The Good, The Bad & The Dollar Menu, currently available for pre-save.
Speaking about the song’s deeper message, Vaughn explains:
“‘CEMETERY lanterns’ is a story for those caught between loyalty and survival. It’s about the struggle of growing up in the hood, torn between following the footsteps of those you look up to or breaking the cycle.”
A rising star within TDE, Vaughn has been building momentum with performances at Ken & Friends and Free Lunch in LA, and his song “Blasphemy” being featured in SZA and Keke Palmer’s #1 film, One of Them Days.
His collaborations with Isaiah Rashad (“EAST CHATT”), Pusha T (“Problems”), and NLE Choppa (“FNBM”) highlight his versatility, while tracks like “Ray Wop” and “Supposed to Die” showcase his sharp storytelling and evolving sound.
With his debut EP promising a mix of gritty realism, witty wordplay, and dynamic production, Vaughn is solidifying his place as one of hip-hop’s most exciting emerging voices.
