Raf-Saperra and Ikky drop “Step Out,” a bold new Punjabi pop track exploring sonic freedom.

UK-based Punjabi artist Raf-Saperra makes a vibrant return with his latest single “Step Out,” released via Polydor Records and Universal Music Canada. The track marks a stylistic pivot into pop territory, produced by none other than global Punjabi music architect Ikky.

This collaboration follows “Heer” and foreshadows an upcoming pop EP co-produced by Ikky. Blending Raf’s Punjabi folk roots with dub and dancehall, “Step Out” redefines what modern Punjabi music can sound like.

“First time stepping into the pop lane… and who better to do it with than the hitmaker himself, Ikky,” Raf explains. “‘Step Out’ is a full-blown earworm – catchy, bold, and backed by a visual straight out of a cartoon-meets-cinema dream.”

The video, directed by Bedroom Projects and Avleen Kaur, captures Raf in evolution—emerging from the underground and into a global spotlight.

Following critically acclaimed projects Ruff Around The Edges and 5 Deadly Venomz, Raf’s latest era aims to challenge preconceptions around Punjabi music and genre boundaries. As always, his message is clear: culture is limitless—and so is sound.
