Queen Naija celebrates motherhood and love in her heartfelt single “Straight Outta Heaven,” out now via Capitol Records.
Queen Naija, the multi-platinum artist celebrated for her emotive storytelling, has unveiled her latest single, “Straight Outta Heaven.” Released via Capitol Records, the song is a moving tribute to the love, challenges, and hope that define her experience as a mother of two.
In “Straight Outta Heaven,” Queen Naija reflects on the uncharted territory of motherhood, expressing her unconditional love for her children. Her poignant lyrics shine through as she sings, “Being your mother didn’t come with instructions / So if I mess up please just know that I love you.” She continues with heartfelt reassurance: “As long as you’re okay / Then mommy is okay / If we ain’t got nobody else then we got us.”
The track follows in the footsteps of her earlier single “Mama’s Hand,” written for her firstborn son. Queen Naija explains, “When I became pregnant with my second-born, I worried how I would be able to split my love in half. That feeling led me to creating ‘Straight Outta Heaven.’ There are no instructions that come with how to do this #momlife, but all of us are just trying our best.”
“Straight Outta Heaven” is the latest in a string of new releases from Queen Naija, including “Missing You” and “Good Girls Finish Last.” Both tracks marked her return to music after the release of her 2023 EP After the Butterflies, which featured collaborations with Monica, Ella Mai, and NBA YoungBoy.
