Politis Dimitris has entered a bold new phase with the release of his solo single “Born Into This,” the first under his Politis Dimitris 2.0 moniker. Known in his hometown of Athens for his work with Citizen Jim, Dimitris now pivots with a record that’s deeply personal and strikingly produced.
Recorded in Nashville, the track is saturated with the hallmarks of Southern rock—rumbling bass, distorted guitar textures, and a vocal line that burns with emotional honesty. It’s a sound rooted in space and intention.
“This song was recorded in a large studio in Nashville. You can hear the size of the space, the thick mass of sound, and the powerful drum resonance. There’s a far west feel—like a Hummer H1 charging through dust and wind,” Dimitris says of the session. 
The single explores the tension between heritage, identity, and modern pressure. Drawing on animistic themes and existential questions, “Born Into This” presents a rich emotional landscape that invites introspection.
This marks Dimitris’s UK promo debut and signals a wider campaign that includes upcoming U.S. performances and a Japanese tour alongside Citizen Jim. For an artist who has long blended soul and sound, “Born Into This” is the beginning of a global evolution.
