Miley Cyrus’ new visual album and pop opera “Something Beautiful” screens in theaters June 12 & June 27.
Visionary artist Miley Cyrus is set to make a bold return to the screen with Something Beautiful, a cinematic visual album experience announced today by Trafalgar Releasing and Sony Music Vision. The one-night-only event will debut in North American theaters on June 12 and internationally on June 27.
The film’s world premiere is slated for June 6 at the Tribeca Festival in New York City, setting the stage for its limited theatrical engagement. Ticket sales begin Thursday, May 22.
Something Beautiful features 13 new original songs and serves as a companion to Cyrus’ upcoming ninth studio album of the same name, arriving May 30 via Columbia Records. Executive producers on the album are Cyrus and acclaimed producer Shawn Everett.
The film brings together a powerful creative team including directors Miley Cyrus, Jacob Bixenman, and Brendan Walter. Benoît Debie leads cinematography, and sound mixing is handled by Alan Meyerson—well-known for his immersive audio on Dune Part One and The Dark Knight. Produced by XYZ Films, Miley Cyrus, and Panos Cosmatos, the film blends fantasy elements with high-style visuals.
Cyrus said, “Something Beautiful is my dream project come true—fashion, film, and original music coexisting in harmony.”
With its tightly integrated visuals and sound, Something Beautiful reflects the evolving intersection of music, film, and performance art—a format Cyrus continues to master.
