Mike Sabath, the renowned songwriter and producer behind hits for Lizzo, RAYE, and Shawn Mendes, has unveiled his latest single, “June.” The heartfelt anthem, released via The Orchard, offers a tender exploration of family bonds, life’s beauty, and the hope we place in future generations.
Inspired by the birth of his niece, Sabath wrote “June” on the very day she was born. Reflecting on the song’s creation, Sabath shares, “I wrote this song while feeling the overwhelm of pain in our world and scared for my niece June who was born the day I wrote it. Amidst all of that pain though, there’s still so much beauty and magic, and it’s our responsibility and the responsibility of the next generation to put energy towards that magic and making our shared world better for each other.”
Raised in Katonah, New York, Sabath’s lifelong connection to music began with toy instruments and family jam sessions, evolving into a career of producing global hits. With “June,” he returns to the personal and heartfelt roots that have always driven his work.
