Mae Martin announces I’m A TV, their debut indie rock album releasing February 27. Two tracks, “Good Dream” and “Stowaway,” are available now.
Mae Martin, the award-winning comedian and actor, is stepping into music with their first album, I’m A TV, set for release on February 27, 2025 via Universal Music Canada (UMC) and Republic Records. The album, produced by Jason Couse and Wes Marskell of The Darcys, introduces fans to Mae’s reflective songwriting and warm indie rock sound. Two tracks from the album, “Good Dream” and “Stowaway,” are available to stream now.
The album explores themes of nostalgia and personal growth, with Mae drawing from their teenage years in Toronto and their experiences reconnecting with music during a recent move to LA. “I’ve been writing songs since I was a teenager, with no intention of ever sharing them,” Mae explains. “Moving to LA gave me the time to reconnect with that part of myself. Writing this album felt like a chance to say what I wanted to without the pressure to find a punchline.”
UMC Chairman & CEO Jeffrey Remedios shared his excitement, saying, “Mae’s music is an inspiring extension of their artistry. They have a way of sharing their life with humor, honesty, and openness, and this album is a testament to that connection with their fans.”
With I’m A TV, Mae Martin embarks on a new chapter, bringing the same authenticity and emotional depth that defines their comedy into their music.
