“Tha Carter VI” arrives with 19 tracks and features from Jelly Roll, 2 Chainz, MGK, and more.
Lil Wayne releases Tha Carter VI, marking a new milestone in his career and continuing the legacy of his acclaimed Tha Carter series. Released via Young Money Entertainment/Republic Records, the album reflects years of creative work and collaboration.
The 19-track album features a remarkable mix of artists across genres. Collaborators include Andrea Bocelli, Bono, Jelly Roll, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, MGK, Wyclef Jean, Kodak Black, and Wayne’s sons Kameron Carter and Lil Novi. Production is handled by Lil Wayne, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Wyclef Jean, and others.
“Real art can’t be rushed — and y’all know I ain’t never been on nobody’s clock but mine,” Wayne said of the project. “Been silent but not still. To the fans who’ve been waiting, I love you. The first glimpse of the album came during Game 2 of the NBA Finals with “The Days” featuring Bono, which appeared in promotions and broadcasts that will continue throughout the series.
Wayne will celebrate the release with a major performance at Madison Square Garden on June 6—his first headlining show at the venue. It will provide fans a firsthand listen to the new tracks in a live setting.The rapper has also announced a North American tour in support of Tha Carter VI, featuring Tyga and Belly Gang Kushington across all dates and NoCap on select stops.
