Laura Pieri shares “Daughter of Demeter (ON THE DANCEFLOOR),” teasing her upcoming reimagined EP.
Laura Pieri gives a bold twist to her emotionally charged 2024 single with the release of “Daughter of Demeter (ON THE DANCEFLOOR).” The dance remix will be featured on the upcoming expanded edition of her Frankie EP, aptly titled Frankie (ON THE DANCEFLOOR), which lands later this summer.
“Daughter of Demeter” originally captured rage and heartbreak with intense vocals and raw lyricism. The new version, however, tempers that energy with a cool, controlled beat. Pieri elaborates: “The fury isn’t gone. There’s a defiance in turning pain into pleasure, and that’s what this version does.”
The track symbolizes a new phase in Pieri’s artistry — one that leans into emotional contrast and musical evolution. “It made me rethink how we process and present emotion, especially feminine emotion,” she shares. “Sometimes grief shows up in a slow sway.”
Born in Brazil and now active in both NYC and LA, Pieri’s cultural and artistic duality defines her unique perspective. Alongside her music, she’s currently pursuing an MBA — a rare balance of business acumen and artistic flair.
The remix invites listeners to rediscover heartbreak through a different lens — not as pain, but as empowerment on the dancefloor. “Daughter of Demeter (ON THE DANCEFLOOR)” isn’t just a new sound; it’s a new way to feel.
