“Western Wind” and “Grandpa” showcase Kalsey Kulyk’s classic tone and emotional artistry.

Country singer-songwriter Kalsey Kulyk continues to cement her place in the genre with the release of “Western Wind,” accompanied by a heartfelt cover of The Judds’ “Grandpa (Tell Me ‘Bout The Good Old Days).” Released through Universal Music Canada, the two-track offering highlights both her personal songwriting and reverence for country’s legacy.

Inspired by emotional boundaries and personal growth, “Western Wind” came to life after a pause in the writing process. “Western Wind was a song that I started myself and had to walk away from because I wanted to give it my all,” Kulyk explains. “So a month later I was in Nashville in the writers room… and they loved it.”

Also included is a new rendition of “Grandpa,” a track that connects her artistry to early influences. “‘Grandpa’ was a song I used to sing all the time as a little girl,” she shares. “Every time I hear this song or it pops in my head it feels like a warm blanket reminding me of my childhood.”

Kulyk will support Wynonna Judd later this year at the Energetic County Fair in Fort St. John. With her clear voice and narrative-driven music, she continues to connect with audiences across Canada.
