Josh Ross shares emotional new single ‘My Side Of Town’ | ahead of full-length album and CCMA Award performance.
With anticipation growing for his debut album Later Tonight, Josh Ross offers fans another meaningful preview through his new single ‘My Side Of Town’, out now via Universal Music Canada / MCA. The track continues Ross’s evolution as a country artist who brings vulnerable, real-life storytelling to the forefront.
Initially previewed on social media, ‘My Side Of Town’ quickly resonated with listeners. Ross reflected on the connection: “’My Side Of Town’ was pitched to me and immediately resonated. Small towns talk, and a lot of times, only one side of a two-sided story gets heard. This song is for anyone who’s lived that – myself included.”
The single was penned by Jimmy Robbins, Seth Ennis, Josh Miller, and Abram Dean, and produced by Ross’s frequent collaborator Matt Geroux. Known for shaping Ross’s Complicated EP—which earned him a JUNO Award—Geroux once again brings crisp, emotional production to the table.
Set to release September 19, Ross’s 15-track album Later Tonight will also include recent hits like ‘Hate How You Look’, ‘Single Again’, ‘Leave Me Too’, and the title track ‘Later Tonight’. Each track contributes to the album’s emotionally rich, rock-edged country sound.
Ross’s momentum is undeniable. With six 2025 CCMA nominations, including Entertainer and Male Artist of the Year, and a performance slated for this year’s awards show in Kelowna, he is rapidly becoming a key voice in Canadian country music. His touring calendar remains packed, from high-profile festivals to select dates alongside Dylan Scott.
As he continues his rise, ‘My Side Of Town’ highlights Ross’s ability to give voice to personal truths, showing that country storytelling is alive, raw, and more relevant than ever.
