A high-energy collaboration between internationally acclaimed DJ FISHER and breakout singer-songwriter bbyclose has yielded a summer-defining track. Titled “Blackberries,” the single dropped July 18 via CATCH & RELEASE and is already gaining traction across global dance stages.
From its rolling bassline to its airy synths and rhythmic vocals, “Blackberries” delivers on the euphoric sound both artists are known for. With her distinct voice, bbyclose brings an infectious melody that sticks instantly.
She explained the track’s origin: “‘I think I met you in a dream last night’ was a line that I had written down in my little red book of ideas… It was a super hot sunny day in London and we sat outside finessing the lyrics and Blackberries came to be…”
The single made early appearances in FISHER’s [UNVRS] sets in Ibiza, where his Thursday night residency has become a fixture for global dance fans. With guest artists like Marlon Hoffstadt and Patrick Mason, the residency continues until late September.
Beyond Ibiza, FISHER has already appeared at Electric Forest and Solidays Festival, with upcoming performances in London and Manchester on the horizon.
bbyclose, a BRITs 2025 nominee, is no stranger to global acclaim, having co-written and performed on hits like “Kisses”, which maintained chart positions worldwide. Additional releases alongside Sub Focus, Alok, and Felix Jaehn highlight her genre versatility.
With “Blackberries,” both FISHER and bbyclose showcase their ability to create anthems that blend club appeal with wide-reaching pop impact.
