EthanUno shares ‘phase 1,’ a vibrant new track blending hyperpop, R&B, and Latin influences, out now via Friends Keep Secrets/Interscope.
San Diego’s own EthanUno is keeping the momentum going with his latest release, “phase 1.” Following his debut EP necesidad, this new single arrives via Friends Keep Secrets/Interscope, showcasing his signature mix of glitchy hyperpop, R&B, Latin croon, and lo-fi dance beats.
Lyrically, the track sets the scene for a night that’s just getting started:
“No quiero dormir, I wanna stay up / Been a while since you had a night off, take one / And if the party ain’t a vibe we gone make one / It’s ’bout be a long night, we in phase one.”
The music video takes a minimalist approach, featuring EthanUno dancing on a rooftop at sunset, rocking a Padres snapback and oversized shades as he warms up for the night ahead. 
With his previous EP necesidad featuring fan favorites like “DQTC” and “las mañanas,” EthanUno continues to build on his one-of-a-kind fusion of Latin pop, hyperpop, and SoundCloud-era experimentation. His DIY production style, where he writes, records, and masters his own music, remains a key part of his creative process.
