With lush strings and emotional honesty, Empara Mi’s new single explores love for the overthinkers.
In her new single “I Hate Everyone,” Empara Mi unpacks the internal monologue of social discomfort and spins it into something beautiful. The track, featuring string arrangements performed by the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, is part of her upcoming concept album Monsters & Masochists.
Known for her bold theatricality and sweeping alt-pop soundscapes, Empara Mi delivers her most ironically vulnerable song to date. She elaborates, “This track is about the noise in your head at every party… but then finding that one person who’s even more weird than you…”
The emotional weight of the single is further underscored by the fact that the string section was written by the very individual the song is about—a meta-layer that deepens the emotional complexity.
