Elton John & Brandi Carlile release Swing For The Fences, a powerful anthem of pride, from their upcoming album Who Believes In Angels?, out April 4.
Elton John and Brandi Carlile have shared the highly anticipated music video for Swing For The Fences, a song that blends rock ‘n’ roll energy with an unshakable message of self-empowerment. The single is the latest from their forthcoming album, Who Believes In Angels?, arriving April 4 via Interscope Records.
The video, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Xavier Dolan and featuring choreography by Damien Jalet, stars William Darby in an emotionally charged performance. As the track builds in intensity, Darby dances with abandon, embodying the song’s spirit of freedom and joy. Abdalla Amour joins him in the latter half, their movements symbolizing love, identity, and self-acceptance.
Dolan speaks to the visual’s deeper meaning: “Dance has always been an ultimate act of self-expression in queer culture. Right now, there are powerful voices trying to diminish that. This video is a testament to why we must keep celebrating who we are.”
Carlile describes Swing For The Fences as an anthem for queer youth: “This song is a call to embrace life with everything you’ve got. Elton and I both know what it’s like to have dreams that seemed impossible—and to go after them anyway.”
With Swing For The Fences, Elton and Brandi remind us all to take risks, celebrate love, and be unapologetically ourselves. The music video is now available, and the single is streaming on all platforms.
