Daniel Seavey shares Second Wind, a pop-rock-infused debut album capturing personal growth, featuring “Lose Me Like You Mean It.” Out now via Atlantic.
Multi-platinum singer, songwriter, and producer Daniel Seavey has officially stepped into his own with Second Wind, his debut solo album, out now via Atlantic Records. The 12-track collection, executive-produced by Michael Pollack, blends early-aughts pop-rock influences with Seavey’s introspective lyricism and dynamic musicianship.
Seavey describes the album as a reflection of both struggle and optimism. “Second Wind is about a boy desperately clinging to his youth while life is trying to force him to grow up,” he explains. “Making happier songs changed my perspective—it reminded me why I fell in love with music in the first place.”
The album features standouts like “Lose Me Like You Mean It” and “Gateway Drug,” which Seavey debuted live while supporting Benson Boone and Dean Lewis on international tours. His 2024 festival debut at Lollapalooza further cemented his solo breakout, as fans embraced his fresh sound.
Seavey first rose to fame as a member of Why Don’t We, achieving over 6 billion global streams and multiple RIAA certifications. However, his solo career has flourished despite legal battles that once threatened his creative freedom. His Dancing In The Dark EP introduced him as an artist in his own right, with Rolling Stone and Billboard praising his artistry.
Now embarking on his Second Wind Tour, Seavey kicks off his headlining run on March 18 in Dallas, TX, before taking the stage in Los Angeles, New York, and beyond. Second Wind is out now, marking a powerful new era.
