London’s rising artist delivers slick, defiant track about power and freedom.

Evolving from a rapid, intense opening into a soaring anthematic chorus, the production delivers a seductive, cinematic edge that sets the stage for CHINCHILLA’s signature powerhouse vocals.

On the track CHINCHILLA says “‘To Have & Hold’ is my liberation song. I don’t think I’ve ever listened to a song more after I’ve written it than this one. That chorus has something in it that is so addictive. Maybe it’s the way it makes me feel, the freedom in the lyrics and the big freeing vocal in the chorus. Maybe it’s the transitional time in my life that I wrote it. It makes me feel like I’m flying. This trilogy of songs has been so honest, so specific in the lyrics, I love how this song says it so plainly, ‘love don’t mean control’ – a simple statement, it’s all that needs saying, unarguable. To end the trilogy on this one feels hopeful and joyous. A celebration of strength and self love and hope for the future. I’m also obsessed with the sexy verses and guitar licks – could listen to them for houuuuurs!”

The track rounds off the trilogy in which CHINCHILLA explores heartbreak with honesty and power. Following ‘OK As I Am and ‘Avoidance, ‘To Have & Hold’ marks a bold, liberating close to this chapter. ‘Ok As I Am: The Trilogy’ Vinyl is available to pre-order now for release on October 24th.

The release follows a run of three sold-out headline shows in July and stadium dates in June opening for Justin Timberlake across Europe continuing CHINCHILLA’s soaring momentum. CHINCHILLA  is also currently supporting G Flip on the US leg of their 2025 tour and has confirmed headline dates for her European tour this autumn, edging towards a sold-out run.

Following the astounding success of her last EP ‘Flytrap’, London artist CHINCHILLA is rebuilding herself from the inside. The bold, unapologetic persona behind the songwriter and producer’s breakout hits ‘Little Girl Gone’ and ‘Cut You Off’ makes way now for a rawer, more confessional side to CHINCHILLA as a person and artist. On her forthcoming musical trilogy of singles, she shows her strength through vulnerability.

Navigating a painful period of heartbreak over this three-song arc, CHINCHILLA writes through it all. The mind-bending early days of a relationship’s end and a massive inflection in her career, everything falling apart and her picking up the broken pieces, and eventually reaching healing and self-compassion. As she so often does, she worked out of the safe space of a furry-walled shed-studio, processing her minefield of feelings and breaking through to emotional release through her art.

Well known for her electrifying anthems against naysayers and the challenges she’s faced in the music industry, CHINCHILLA takes a beautiful turn inward with this project. Here, sensitivity is her superpower. Even in the quiet moments, the strength of her voice is undeniable. Abundantly creative, fiercely independent and always honest, this project shows someone who is unafraid to face herself.
