CHINCHILLA unveils video for “Avoidance,” a moving portrait of heartbreak and anxiety. Tour dates now live.
Emerging from London’s vibrant alt-pop scene, CHINCHILLA shares the deeply personal video for her latest single “Avoidance.” Created in collaboration with director Claryn Chong and styled by Holly Wood with designs by Keko Hainswheeler, the visual is a haunting representation of heartbreak, emotional paralysis, and anxiety.
Written during a moment of distress—after receiving a text on the way to a writing session—“Avoidance” was completed in just one hour. The video reflects that raw urgency, opening with CHINCHILLA in a cab and evolving into an artistic metaphor for spiraling emotions.
“‘Avoidance’ was written when I was going through a really rough break up and received a message in a cab on my way to a writing session, which sent me into an anxiety attack,” she explains.
The track and its accompanying video come on the heels of CHINCHILLA’s growing momentum. Following a run of three sold-out headline shows and a series of high-profile tour dates supporting Justin Timberlake, she now announces her own European headline tour for this fall.
With strong support from CLASH, MTV, Official Charts, and others, “Avoidance” further cements CHINCHILLA as one of the most honest new voices in pop. She’ll also join G Flip on the US leg of their 2025 tour, adding another exciting chapter to her breakout year.
