Calum Hood shares debut album ‘ORDER chaos ORDER’ and “Sunsetter” video—available now on Capitol.
Calum Hood, best known as one-fourth of the hit band 5 Seconds of Summer, takes a powerful leap into solo territory with the release of ‘ORDER chaos ORDER’, his debut solo album now available via Capitol Records. The project arrives with a serene and cinematic visual for the song “Sunsetter.”
Written during a period of introspection, the album is less about purging emotion and more about shaping it into meaningful art. “My lyrics come from a place of purity,” Calum explains. “It was important to pay homage to that side of my younger self.”
The album’s creation was primarily in collaboration with Jackson Phillips (Day Wave), with additional contributions from David Burris and TMS, giving the project both sonic cohesion and experimental edge.
The journey begins with “Don’t Forget You Love Me,” a single praised by Rolling Stone and emblematic of the album’s honest emotional core. Other tracks like “Sweetdreams,” “Call Me When You Know Better,” and “All My Affection” provide contrast and nuance, creating a listening experience that feels reflective and emotionally immersive.
With ‘ORDER chaos ORDER’, Calum proves he’s more than a bassist or a band member—he’s a thoughtful solo artist with a story to tell.
