“YOU LIED” showcases Braden Bales’ emotional depth and arrives ahead of his summer EP.
Braden Bales shares his searing new single “YOU LIED,” out now via Capitol Records. The track offers a deeply personal take on emotional fallout, tying into his upcoming EP 5 STAGES OF GRIEF, set for release later this summer.
With unfiltered lyrics and a heartfelt delivery, “YOU LIED” unpacks betrayal and the depression that follows. The track embodies the pain of a fractured connection while weaving in self-reflection and sorrow.
“I wrote YOU LIED when I heard my ex’s music that painted our relationship in a bad light,” says Bales. “We had a really bittersweet ending and it broke me to hear her talk negatively about everything we had and what being with me was like. ‘YOU LIED’ represents the depression stage of grief in my breakup and it’s written about the most painful part of this process.”
Bales, known for his emotionally resonant songwriting, recently completed his first headlining tour. He’s now on the road with Livingston, hitting major cities across North America including New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, and Atlanta.
Braden Bales delivers storytelling with soul, depth, and candor — traits that continue to resonate as he prepares for his most vulnerable project yet.
