Emerging pop singer-songwriter Ally Salort shares her latest single, “Before & After,” available now via Disruptor Records/RCA Records. With its introspective storytelling and ambient instrumentation, the track captures the emotions of longing, love, and distance.
On the meaning behind the song, Ally shares:
“‘Before and After’ is about liking the feeling of wanting/missing someone more than the feeling of actually being with them. About wanting to love someone from a distance because you think it’ll be easier while also knowing that isn’t necessarily true. I wrote the lyrics of the first half of the chorus in my notes app and then finished the song in a session I had later that day.”
Hailing from Maplewood, New Jersey, Ally’s love for music began at an early age. A pivotal talent search experience led her to Los Angeles, where she recorded in studios and met industry professionals. She later built a dedicated audience by sharing her music through YouTube and TikTok. 
Inspired by artists like Ariana Grande and Fiona Apple, Ally’s music resonates with those who appreciate deeply personal, emotionally rich songwriting. Fans can catch her live this March in Europe, where she’ll be supporting Mackenzy Mackay on tour.
