“Everything Anything” shows Alessi Rose’s honest, ironic lyricism ahead of EP ‘Voyeur’ release.
London-based singer-songwriter Alessi Rose deepens her reputation as one of alt-pop’s most self-aware voices with “Everything Anything,” her latest single from the upcoming EP Voyeur, out July 25 via Capitol Records.
Produced by Couros and co-written by Rose, the song begins with stripped-back guitar before building to an anthemic soundscape. Through unfiltered storytelling, Rose captures the bizarre tension of seeing an ex move into her neighborhood. The result is a mix of aching familiarity and biting wit.
Lyrics such as “Your silence is deafening, I thought you were everything, but you don’t want anything…” resonate with both melancholy and humor, exemplifying Rose’s ability to balance vulnerability and irony.
Rose reflects, “‘Everything Anything’ pokes fun at the utter absurdity of having someone who you once were so close and intimate with now becoming a total stranger. It’s vulnerable but also deeply ironic and feels like the stream of consciousness, confessional rant you’d share with a friend at a sleepover.”
As a follow-up to singles “Same Mouth” and “That Could Be Me,” this new release further reveals the deeply personal world of Voyeur, which brings together production from Sam De Jong, Sammy Witte, and John Hill.
Following her Glastonbury debut and glowing press from outlets like DIY Magazine and BBC, “Everything Anything” reaffirms Alessi Rose’s status as a breakout artist unafraid to speak her truth — and make it unforgettable.
