Above & Beyond’s Tranquility Base Vol. 2 is here, featuring five trance-inspired tracks now streaming on Anjunabeats.
Above & Beyond, the GRAMMY-nominated founders of Anjunabeats, have released Tranquility Base Vol. 2, the latest EP in their celebrated series. This five-track collection, now available on Anjunabeats, showcases the trio’s ability to blend classic trance influences with innovative production.
Named after their iconic Tranquility Base alias, the series honors Above & Beyond’s contributions to the trance genre, with past hits like “Surrender” and “Oceanic” setting a high standard. Tranquility Base Vol. 2 lives up to that legacy, featuring standout tracks like “React,” a bassline-driven single released November 1, and “Another Breakdown,” a euphoric anthem that followed on November 20.
The EP also includes three additional tracks that highlight Above & Beyond’s versatility: “Hackney Siren” combines trance, acid, and breakbeat with 90s-inspired piano chords, “From Grey To Light” features layered acid basslines and a trippy experimental vibe, and “Chasing Highs” evokes the nostalgic energy of early 2000s trance.
These tracks were debuted at major Above & Beyond events, including Group Therapy 600 in Mexico City, Dreamstate SoCal, and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Together, they offer a snapshot of the trio’s ongoing evolution as electronic music pioneers.
