Cris Chil | ‘SOLITA AF’ leads debut EP ‘colapso’ | bold anthem of self-love and strength marks her official artist debut
Cris Chil makes her entrance as a solo artist with the release of ‘colapso’, her debut EP. At the forefront is ‘SOLITA AF’, an empowering perreo anthem that blends dembow and Spanish rap with Anglo-influenced production. The song serves as a confident declaration of independence, paired with the mantra “better alone than in bad company.”
Sharing the inspiration behind the track, Cris Chil says:
“SOLITA AF is about reclaiming joy, finding power in being alone, and realizing you don’t need anyone else to complete you. It’s playful, it’s bold, and it’s me stepping into my own voice as an artist after years of writing for others.”
Alongside the release, the single is accompanied by a dark, lo-fi short film that adds to the EP’s cinematic scope. Across its three songs — “Así Soy,” “Freezer,” and ‘SOLITA AF’ — the project represents a symbolic farewell to the past while embracing growth and self-possession. 
As the first step in a four-part debut album scheduled to unfold through fall 2025, ‘colapso’ introduces Cris Chil as an artist in her own right. With bold soundscapes and fearless honesty, she positions herself as a powerful new force in today’s music landscape.
