“Keep It To Yourself” captures ThxSoMch at his most vulnerable as he leads into debut album ‘The Sound of You Laughing’.

With the release of “Keep It To Yourself,” genre-defying artist ThxSoMch shares one final track before the arrival of his debut album The Sound of You Laughing, due August 29 via Atlantic Records. As the last preview of what’s to come, the single perfectly distills the artist’s signature mix of unfiltered lyricism, gritty alt-rock instrumentation, and emotionally complex storytelling.

The creation of “Keep It To Yourself” started casually—just a joke between ThxSoMch and his producer grayskies. “Sometimes, we’d come up with an idea and the other person would say, ‘you can keep that… to yourself,’” ThxSoMch recalls. That familiar phrase sparked a freestyle over a syncopated riff and quickly evolved into a song brimming with both energy and personal insight.

ThxSoMch recorded the album over seven months in Brazil, cut off from everyday life and fully immersed in creative isolation. Reflecting on the experience, he says, “It put me in the best mental place I’ve been in for a long time… It’s the sound of acceptance and the sound of burying what’s really going on.”

With production by grayskies and mixing by Mike Crossey, the album delivers an urgent yet introspective journey. It’s a place where genres blur and emotion becomes the guiding force—part rock, part rap, all catharsis.

As anticipation builds for the album’s release, ThxSoMch is also gearing up for a major tour across North America, the UK, and Europe with support from re6ce. From his early online releases to now, ThxSoMch has evolved into an artist who dares to reveal what many keep hidden—making “Keep It To Yourself” a fitting and fearless lead-in.
