Craft and feeling meet on ‘Holy Water’, Marshmello’s country palette with Jelly Roll’s heartfelt hook, out now everywhere.

‘Holy Water’ opens with craft and carries through with heart. Marshmello shares the single featuring GRAMMY Award nominated Jelly Roll via Mercury Records, Big Loud Records. Listen HERE. The producer chose a classic country canvas, then brought it to life himself by playing 12 string guitar, baritone guitar, and mandolin in the studio, letting those instruments speak in concert with an up tempo beat and kinetic synths.

The arrangement clears room for Jelly Roll’s voice, and he fills it with warmth and grit. The hook arrives like a hand on the shoulder, “One tear for the brokenhearted, pour out a little holy water.” It tugs heartstrings and lands with the kind of weight that stays, a perfect match for the story at the song’s center.

Marshmello explains the why behind the sound. “It’s really heartfelt. This is one of the most emotional songs I’ve ever released. It’s about losing a loved one. Unfortunately, a lot of us can relate to that. When I showed the initial idea to Jelly Roll and told him the story, he loved it. He’s an open book, and it was really great to see how it resonated. It inspired me to go in even more on the production and get creative with the country elements. He definitely brought it home to where it is now.”

The collaboration fits naturally into a broader lane Marshmello has been building. ‘Holy Water’ is his second country leaning team up, following the moment he created with Kane Brown on ‘Miles On It’. This release also follows a busy 2025 that already includes ‘Worlds Apart’ [feat. Feat. AR/CO], ‘Save My Love’ [with Ellie Goulding & AVAION], and ‘Slow Motion’ [with Jonas Brothers]. Each step highlights range, and this one adds a heartfelt shine.
