Maren Morris shares ‘D R E A M S I C L E (deluxe)’, featuring “be a bitch” and “running”.
Maren Morris continues to explore the emotional terrain of her D R E A M S I C L E album with a newly released deluxe edition, adding four fresh songs that enhance the project’s overall message. The Columbia Records release builds upon themes of acceptance and growth, echoing her unique voice in modern songwriting.
Maren revealed the unexpected process behind these additions:
“I thought I was done writing for a bit once Dreamsicle was turned in, but in one week we got a flurry of new songs in the studio that I couldn’t keep contained,” says Maren. “they still felt like they existed within the Dreamsicle universe, so voila! I can’t even pick a favorite because they all deserve their own moment. enjoy a little extra summertime with these four…”
Among the new offerings is “running”, co-produced by Naomi McPherson and Laura Sisk. It embraces a free-spirited soundscape while acknowledging the cost of choosing independence. “in love with me”, co-written with Jimmy Robbins and Laura Veltz, takes a gentler tone—highlighting personal tenderness.
“earth angel” serves as the final track on the deluxe, delivering ethereal warmth and grounding emotion, while “be a bitch”, which arrived last week, balances its fiery tone with sharp insight.
The deluxe release comes at the launch of Maren’s The D R E A M S I C L E Tour, which spans North America, Europe, and the UK with over 50 shows scheduled through November.
