Lorna Reid’s new album “I Will Tell Your Story” blends jazz, blues, and soul in a collectible vinyl edition.
Lorna Reid delivers a fresh addition to modern jazz with I Will Tell Your Story, her new 11-track album now available on vinyl. Produced by Boo Hewerdine, the project brings together timeless songwriting, vintage textures, and elegant production, affirming Reid’s position as one of Scotland’s leading jazz voices.
Her vocals, rich in jazz tradition, anchor songs like the title track and “Sweet Baby Blues”—the latter released late last year as a first glimpse into the record. The full album showcases contributions from Louise Clare Marshall, Gustaf Ljunggrens, Euan Stevenson, and Konrad Wisniewski, among others.
Praised by BBC Radio Scotland’s Iain Anderson as: “This album is simply great, soulful, grown-up song craft,” the release builds on Reid’s reputation as “Scotland’s Norah Jones,” following acclaim from her Rochester NY International Jazz Festival appearance.
The vinyl edition features heavyweight black pressings, full lyric inserts, and exclusive artwork, available via Bandcamp and select independent record shops. All recordings were completed across several studios in Scotland and finalized by acclaimed names such as Jon Kelly and Nick Watson.
On November 16, Reid will perform live at Crazy Coqs in London for the EFG London Jazz Festival—an intimate showcase set to bring the album’s stories to the stage.
