Virtuoso guitarist and sarodist Anupam Shobhakar has released Liquid Reality, a visionary album that bridges Indian classical music and Western genres with finesse. Known for his groundbreaking fretless guitar approach, Anupam continues his exploration into sonic hybridity.
Based in New York and steeped in the Senia Maihar Gharana tradition, Anupam designed a double-neck guitar that reflects his wide musical range—fretted precision alongside fretless nuance.
Across tracks such as “La Danse de Bonheur,” “Formless,” and “Anjaneya,” the album weaves everything from jazz-rock to spiritual depth. Collaborations with musicians like Utsav Lal, Ben Parag, and Swami Selva Ganesh add to the album’s wide stylistic reach.
