British trio FLO collaborate with Kaytranada on “The Mood,” a stylish, empowering R&B anthem.

FLO has returned with a sultry, confident new single titled “The Mood”, a collaboration with acclaimed producer Kaytranada, now available via Island Records. Designed for late-night summer vibes, the song merges Kaytranada’s rhythmic finesse with FLO’s fluid harmonies, creating a sonic experience rooted in self-assurance.

As FLO explains: “The Mood is a fun and fresh take on sex. Sometimes you’re not in the mood! We made this song two years ago and it still feels brand new to us. We are so honoured to have been able to work with Kaytranada and so happy that the world can enjoy it with us!!! #permissionissexy”

The trio’s artistic momentum continues following the release of Access All Areas, their debut album. The project reached Top 3 in the UK and became the highest charting album by a British R&B girl group in over two decades. It also earned them widespread praise from outlets like Pitchfork, NME, and The Times.

With “The Mood,” FLO proves their sound remains fresh and forward-thinking. The collaboration draws attention to their evolving narrative — one that empowers through storytelling, sonic clarity, and cultural influence.

Fans will have the opportunity to see this evolution live on the Access All Areas Tour, beginning September 28 in London and continuing across the UK and Europe. Having just wrapped a groundbreaking North American run, FLO remains firmly on track as one of the most impactful British acts today.
